All You Need for a February Feast at The Green Man Bristol
Posted on: 07 Feb 2017The Kingsdown pub is equipped to provide both fabulous food and top-drawer drink; combine both for a real gustatory treat this February.
As Kermit the Frog once famously decreed, it’s not easy being green. It is incredibly rewarding however, as attested to by The Green Man, where you can score a well-renowned roast and a widely-sourced gin under the same roof.
The fiercely independent public house is nestled just off Kingsdown Parade, and serves food almost as good as its excellent drink - they, at present, have 102 bottles of gin behind the counter and always have six real ales on cask. Food is overseen by the Bear Grillz Boys, who flip a mean burger and serve up a mean roast - though you’ll want to book in for the latter as the word is well and truly out.
Housed in a Grade II listed building, the pub is a Dawkins Ales venue with all the warm, comforting charm of a country boozer. The homely, welcoming ambience created by the wood panel decor is also enhanced by the quirky additions of cool, kitsch memorabilia dotted around the place including film posters and stacks of board games for a quieter moment.
