Eight ways to celebrate Burns Night 2017 in Bristol

Posted on: 23 Jan 2017

Dust off your tartan and raise a glass to the pre-eminent Scottish poet. Wednesday 25th January 2017 marks the annual Burns Night, though you can expect celebrations throughout the week. Whether you're from north of the border or not, here are some great excuses to celebrate!

The night is a celebration in the name of Robert ‘Rabbie’ Burns. It commemorates the great poet’s life and Scottish culture in general. Always a great evening, celebrations range from informal ceilidhs – a gathering with music and dancing (think ‘barn dance’ for you Westcountry folk!) – to the finest black-tie dinners.
