My Old Lady begins its run at The Alma Tavern Theatre

Posted on: 14 Dec 2016

From Wednesday 14th to Saturday 17th December 2016, Israel Horovitz’s My Old Lady will be playing at The Alma Tavern Theatre in Bristol. It's the story of Mathias, a down-on-his-luck middle-aged American who inherits an apartment in Paris, though when he arrives finds it occupied by an old lady and her protective daughter.

Presented by Theatre Someone, this classic tale is set to be a big hit with Bristol's avid theatre-goers. The group are a collection of drama enthusiasts based in France who produce English language plays in interesting places. They have toured their productions in France, Switzerland and the UK including sell out shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

365 are certain this will be a great and memorable set of performances. Don't just take our word for it though...

"It was truly a wonderful production and a really high level of acting and direction all round. One of the very best pieces of theatre I have seen in Geneva over many years now. I was both gripped and impressed in equal measure"
Malcolm Grant, Chairman, Geneva English Drama Society. My Old Lady (May 2016)

"The 2014 film of this play starred Maggie Smith, Kristin Scott Thomas and Kevin Kline. With all respect to those fine actors, I took more pleasure from the performances of Annelies Breman, Lesley Sherwood & Gary Bird. Congratulations to them and to director Sue Humphreys for playing so beautifully from the heart"
David Lewis, Spotlight (May 2016.)

Tickets are priced at just £10 (£8 for concessions). For further info and to book tickets please visit the event's page over at www.almatavernandtheatre.co.uk
