School Holiday Fun - Life's a Beach! at The Galleries

Posted on: 22 Jul 2016

Come rain or shine, you'll still be able to satisfy your craving for all things beach-related as The Galleries in Bristol holds its Life's a Beach! event from Saturday 23 July to Wednesday 31 Aug 2016.

The first floor of The Galleries will be home to its very own golden sandy beach - with plenty of buckets and spades to go around, of course - where you can have bags of fun building your own sand castles. You can even take a selfie for their photo wall.

It's true that we've had our fair share of hot and glorious good weather this year so far, but if you still have a hankering to spend a family day out on the beach when things take a more meteorologically inclement dip, then now you can, whatever the weather.

And every Wednesday throughout August on the ground floor there will also be a range of free kids and family activities including a sporting craft activities, surf simulator and face painting. Here's what will be going on and when:

3 August: Surf simulator

10 August: Olympic torch craft activity

17 August: Inflatable football shoot-out

24 August: Face painting

31 August: Sporting craft activities

If you're in the area and planning to visit the beach, why not also check out the other various sports activities going on in Broadmead and The Arcade throughout August as part of the Summer of Sport, as well as the Tour of Broadmead charity event that runs from 20 to 27 August.
