Revel in the glorious world of children's television from past to present with M Shed's exhibition The Story of Children's Television from 1946 to Today, which will be housed at the much-loved Bristol venue until Sunday 25 September 2016.

There's no question that programming for the younger generation has evolved significantly over the year,s but there has always been a wonderful array of children's characters on the small screen which have captivated youngsters across the generations, from Muffin the Mule to Morph.

The exhibition traces the history of children's television with an amazing range of iconic memorabilia, objects, merchandise, images and film clips, from its humble puppetry origins to the hi-tech CGI shows of today.

It's a marvelous trip down memory lane and a magical, nostalgic sojourn through the images, characters and programmes which helped - and will continue to - shape and influence children's lives.

The exhibition is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

Tickets cost £5 for adults, £4 concessions, and under 16s get in free.
