Europe’s largest free street art and graffiti festival - Upfest - will attract over 300 artists painting 28 venues through Bristol. It takes place from Saturday 23rd-Monday 25th of July.

It’s that time again for festival lovers around Bristol and we have a treat. We are more than pleased to announce the return of Upfest to the streets, canvasses and giant walls of Bristol.

The multi-venue urban street festival, whose center is based on North Street, sprawls out across Bedminster and Southville with everyone being encouraged to explore and soak in the amazing atmosphere.

With the festival stretched over 1.3km of North Street, there is no surprise that once again this festival will be a hive of artistic creativity. Spaces come to life at The Tobacco Factory, South Street Park, North St. Standard, The Upfest Gallery itself, The Hen & Chicken, Ashton Gate School and many more. There will be plenty of places to visit throughout the day. You can pop along for 10 minutes or spend the whole day soaking up the atmosphere and artwork.

The caliber of artist on display through this year’s festival can rival that of even last year’s success. With the likes of Gemma Compton, Lady Culpa, Mr Cenz, Sledone, Toia Grehan and so many more amazing artists from Bristol and further a-field, you can guarantee there is something to suit everybody’s tastes.

If walking from the different venues begins to take its toll, you can always take a relaxing seat and listen to some original music. Upfest has always been serenaded by the sound of sweet music and this year will be no exception having roped in the expertise of some of Bristol's finest to deliver the rhythms that will get those feet moving. For a full schedule of where and what time some of the gigs will be taking place please click here.

If you want to get up close and personal with some of the amazing artists and the festival they are always looking for volunteers. By offering your support as a volunteer you have the chance to be part of the Upfest crew that make the festival happen. Anyone interested in sponsoring or supporting the festival please email festival@upfest.co.uk.

The festival is FREE to attend, although you are kindly asked to buy a brochure to support the festival and their nominated charity, which is NACOA - National Association for Children of Alcoholics. You could even go one step better, if you are feeling inspired, as most attending artists will have left art for the crew to sell at all the different locations.
