How has the season gone so far?

The season has gone well so far for all of the squads within UWE boat club.

Has the team done anything different to prepare for Varsity?

We have not done anything different as such; all the members have been fully committed and trained as hard as they possible can the few weeks leading into Varsity. I must say I could not be prouder of all the members within the club and am confident we are going into the boat race completely ready with nothing else we could possibly done. As a club we are definitely here to win and will be putting up a good fight off the start line tomorrow.

What do you think your chances are like for the race(s) - overall title?

I am confident that the members will fight to win their race and I 100% believe that no one person will give up. As president of the club I am confident we have a good chance of winning every race. Bristol better be prepared for a fight as we will be doing everything we possibly can to re-gain the blade.

Which rowers are the ones to watch?

No rower as such to keep an eye on tomorrow, we have strong senior 8's so keep an eye on those.

Did you row before coming to university?

I did not; I started rowing at UWE 3 years ago when I first started uni.

Is this your first year as captain?

I was vice - president last year for the club but this is my first year as president.

What advice would you give to the captain who succeeds you?

I am happy to hand over president to a good friend of mine who I have every faith in and that she will lead the club into varsity with every determination to win.
