Serving real ales and fine wines and with great magic acts lined up every weekend along with monthly showcases featuring some of the most talented magicians in the world this is a bar that you need to visit. Whether you’re looking for a place for a few drinks with mates, a venue for a big group, or just a slightly different option for ‘date night’, Smoke and Mirrors should be pushing for first place on your list.
Here’s a quick overview of the great events they host:
Monday: A Bunch of Japes - A weekly comedy night held every Monday at Smoke & Mirrors Bar on Denmark Street in Bristol. Hosted by George Rigden this is a place for both new comedians to start and experienced comedians to try out new material. These comedians have included Russell Howard, Jon Richardson, Josh Widdecombe and Alan Carr to name but a few during 2015. Just £3 entry!
Tuesday: Pub Quiz – It’s just £1 per person for teams up to four people to compete at Syd's Quiz Night. General knowledge, music, and bonus rounds all feature and winners take the pot! Only 12 teams can take part so make sure you arrive early. It runs from 8-11pm each week.
Wednesday: Rent Our Theatre - Each Wednesday us, the general Bristol populous, have the opportunity to rent their theatre and everything that comes with it. Whether you are looking to stage a play, comedy evening, awards night or even a meeting with a difference, they can and are very able to accommodate (almost) any wish! Just get in contact for a quick chat about your requirements and what they can do for you.
Thursday: Close-Up Magic at Your Table along with Live And Local Music. – The clue really is in the name here. The amazing performers at Smoke and Mirrors will be entertaining guests at their tables as they enjoy their evenings. The illusions have to be seen to be believed. Along with that there will be live local music from a selection of the best performers in The Westcountry.

Friday and Saturday: House Magicians 8-10pm followed by Live Music 10pm-12am – The house magicians are what mage Smoke and Mirrors a great Bristol venue. Mark Bennett: Owner of Illusions Magic Bar and Smoke and Mirrors will wow the crowd and Richard Newman, an award winning magician perform his unique style of great magic and comedy. They are joined by Tim Stracey, Matthew Brady and Sunil Singh. The live music changes from week to week but you can bet it will be a great performance...it hasn’t disappointed yet.
