Rainy-Day Activities in Bristol

Posted on: 13 Nov 2015

If you have a quick look out of your window right now it’s probably not looking too good is it? We’ve been really lucky so far, this side of summer, but winter might just be finally on its way. With that in mind, here are a few ideas of what you and your family can get up to while the Sun perhaps doesn’t quite have his hat on…

M Shed

M Shed is a real jewel in Bristol's crown. 3 floors of spectacular exhibitions, relics, displays and information provide one of the absolute must-see days out in Bristol. The local history covered is astounding and visitors from 3 to 103 will all find things to inspire and amaze. A truly great spot in our city and one we should all head to when get the opportunity!

Here's M Shed's website: www.bristolmuseums.org.uk/m-shed

Clip 'n Climb

Clip 'n Climb is composed of a wide selection of climbing-based activities providing healthy, challenging fun for all the family! Test your resolve and determination across all of their separate challenges - climb commando style on the Jungle Gym, reach new heights on the Skyscraper, take the Speed Climbing challenge, tangle yourself in Spaghetti, dare to tackle the Lightning Crack or race your friends up the Stairway to Heaven!

No climbing experience is necessary and full briefing is given. Visitors are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to your booked session for your introduction and briefing as part of your fun-packed session and full equipment will be provided. Indoor climbing has never been easier or safer as automatic belay devices take in the slack while you climb before lowering you gently to the ground.

Bristol Indoor Activities

Air Hop

135 interconnected trampolines make up Air Hop. Not unsurprisingly it’s the largest trampoline park in the world! Besides the option to just bounce about like Tigger, there are slam-dunk lanes, dodgeball courts, battle beams, foam pit lanes, slack lines and a ‘Total Wipeout zone!

Puzzlair

If you liked The Crystal Maze then Puzzlair in Bristol is a definite must. Rated the number one activity in Bristol on Trip Advisor and recommended for all ages.

Looking for a unique way to spend an hour with friends, family or colleagues? Puzzlair is your answer. You and your group have 60 minutes to escape from a locked room! And why is it 4D? Because you are inside the game.

Jump Bristol

Bristol Jump has enormous adventure play-frames - a space zone, a galleon and an enchanted castle. At 22,000 sq feet it is the largest dedicated indoor soft play centre in England and is just behind Cribs Causeway.

There’s also huge inflatables, an indoor football pitch, and an enormous zone just for toddlers. We also offer themed party rooms, a café and different activities every day. Adults are encouraged to join in the fun by using the equipment in the centre so no slacking off thank you very much!

Their website can be found at - www.123jump.co.uk/Our-Bristol-Site

There are so many options for a Bristol resident or visitor. Why not check out our What's On calendar for in-depth info on what we have to look forward to this weekend...or any other!
