Lorde live in Bristol - The Downs on Friday 28 August 2026
Posted on: 03 Feb 2026Announced today, the New Zealand pop powerhouse Lorde will be performing for the first time in the city of Bristol, with a special gig on Friday 28th August 2026.
Lorde will be joined by a dynamic bill of global music artists including Djo, Audrey Hobert, Rose Gray, Esha Tewari and Grove.

Lorde’s concert will take place the day before the main FORWARDS 2026 music festival, which also takes place on the Clifton Downs on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August.
LORDE is a defining voice of modern pop, having captivated global audiences with her visionary songwriting, emotional depth and genre-shaping sound. From the groundbreaking Pure Heroine to the expansive worlds of Melodrama and Solar Power, she remains a singular artist known for transcendent live performances and a deeply dedicated fanbase. Her upcoming Bristol headline performance promises to be a rare and exceptional occasion, marking her first appearance in the city.
DJO, musician and beloved Stranger Things actor Joe Keery, will be joining the bill with his psychedelic pop blend of indie rock, synth-pop, and art pop. His breakout single “End of Beginning” recently reached No. 1 on the UK Official Singles Chart, marking a major milestone and underscoring the widespread appeal of his sound. With sharp songwriting, infectious melodies, and a distinct retro-futuristic edge, DJO has quickly carved out a space that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking, balancing introspective lyrics with playful experimentation that resonates across alternative and pop landscapes.
