For one day only, Bristol will become the beating heart of English wine as 15 of the country’s most exciting vineyards come together to pour their best bottles at 'English Wine Will Change Your Life' - an unmissable public tasting hosted in the atmospheric vaulted cellars of Averys Wine Merchants.

This isn’t your average walk-around wine fair. It’s an English wine intervention - fizz, white, rosé, red, even orange - each glass proving that world-class wine is being made right here in England. Expect 70 expertly crafted wines, from crisp, mineral whites to juicy reds and characterful, skin-contact styles that push boundaries.
Attendees can meet the people behind the bottles - the winemakers and owners themselves, not reps or PRs - and hear the stories, inspiration and challenges behind their award-winning wines. The vibe is informal and buzzing, perfect for anyone, from curious first-timers to seasoned wine lovers looking for their next discovery.
Organised by the team behind The IEWA (Independent English Wine Awards), the event celebrates a decade of their indie wine competition recognising excellence in English winemaking. Now, for the first time, the public can taste some the competition’s stars side by side.
Alex Taylor, founder of The IEWA and organiser of the event says “English wine is such a buzzing, growing category - one of the most exciting in world wine right now. We created The IEWA ten years ago when very few people had heard of English wine. We wanted to help change that - to award, promote and celebrate the creativity, quality and innovation of domestic wine producers from all regions, and help people make great discoveries. This event brings that same spirit to life, and I can’t wait to bring it to the people of Bristol”
