Posted on: 09 Oct 2025

Noods Radio has reopened its studio for live broadcasting from their venue, the new Mickey Zoggs at 182-184 Cheltenham Rd, Montpelier, Bristol BS6 5RB.

Following the loss of their home Mickey Zoggs last year, independent station Noods Radio is returning to the air with live shows from their brand-new studio space. After a huge amount of support from the community, the team managed to raise enough money to reopen their venue Mickey Zoggs at a new location in April and the team are now set to unveil their new and improved radio studio this October, bringing live broadcasting back to the city.

The team are excited to announce the studio opening party at the venue on Friday 17th of Oct, with live shows to resume from the 21st October. The opening party will see station favourites Jon Cornbill, Zoe Pea and J_r throw down a huge selection of music from far and wide. This is not one to miss.

The studio sits on the lower ground floor of Mickey Zoggs, offering a dedicated space for Noods’ extensive roster of residents — a network of DJs, artists, and broadcasters — to reconnect with listeners through live shows. The return of the studio marks a fresh chapter for Noods, strengthening its role as a hub for underground culture and radio in Bristol. After ten years broadcasting, the station is excited to hold a secure home for the foreseeable future, where music lovers across the city can meet, drink, talk and above all, enjoy good music.

Mickey Zoggs / Crowdfunder

Late last year after finding out they were being kicked out of their space, Noods Radio and Mickey Zoggs ran a crowdfunder to get together a deposit to save their venue. With the loving help of their dedicated community they were able to reopen in a new space on Cheltenham Road in Bristol. Since its opening in 2021, Zoggs has become a hub for the local creative community, serving as a place for people to hang out, meet like minded people and discover music. It’s thanks to the dedicated community that the space has been able to continue for the foreseeable.
