Women's Rugby World Cup heading to Bristol's Ashton Gate Stadium
Posted on: 12 Aug 2025Bristol is set to host four Women’s Rugby World Cup matches at Ashton Gate Stadium in the coming weeks.
The tournament, taking place between August 22nd and September 27th 2025, is set to be a generational moment for women’s rugby, with it expected to become the most viewed women’s rugby event of all time. More than 330,000 tickets have already been sold for the tournament nationwide, over twice the number for the previous tournament in New Zealand, and tickets are still available for Bristol’s matches.

Saturday 13th September: Winner Pool B vs Runner-Up Pool A (Kick-off: 4pm)
Sunday 14th September: Winner Pool A vs Runner-Up Pool B (Kick-off: 4pm)
Friday 19th September: Winner QF1 vs Winner QF2 (Kick-off: 7pm)
Saturday 20th September: Winner QF3 vs Winner QF4 (Kick-off: 3.30pm)

With 60% of the 400,000 tickets nationwide under £25, alongside friendly kick-off times at the weekends, it is the most accessible Rugby World Cup ever organised and embodies rugby’s inclusive nature.

Knockout Stages Overview
The quarter-finals, semi-finals, bronze final, and final will take place between 13 and 27 September. The final is scheduled for 27 September at Twickenham Stadium, London. Quarter-finals will be held in Exeter and Bristol, with both semi-finals also at Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium.
