Tide Lines - Glasgow Love Story at Bristol Beacon on 31 October 2025

Their recent double A-side single ‘By The Quayside’ / ‘Leaving Town’ demonstrates their expanding powers at using evocative Scottish narratives to establish an emotional connection, supported by music that flows naturally between driving indie-rock and intimate folk-pop arrangements.

The autumn headline tour will follow a summer of high profile moments for the band. First up is the biggest headline show of their career to date, a 5000-capacity outdoor event at Glasgow’s Rouken Glen Park on June 6th, a special opening concert for this year’s The Reeling festival. They will also headline the Thursday night at the HebCelt festival; play a free show at Aberdeen’s Quayside Concerts on July 20th with guest Calum Bowie as part of The Tall Ships Race festivities; and are also confirmed for the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.

Vocalist / guitarist Robert Robertson says, “We can’t wait to get back out on the road for a run of shows that will include some of the songs from the new album. It’s been amazing to see our fans’ reaction to the singles on social media but nothing beats playing live and hearing people sing along! There are a lot of new venues for us on this tour which is exciting. First up, our adopted home city of Glasgow (which inspired the album) and our biggest ever headline show in Rouken Glen Park!”

Released via their own independent label, ‘Glasgow Love Story’ is a deeply personal tribute to the city that has shaped the band’s journey - capturing its people, places, and spirit through evocative storytelling and anthemic indie-folk melodies. Glasgow is very close to the band’s heart. From their first casual meet up in a West End bar in 2016, to subsequent rehearsals in a Finnieston studio, right through to their recent induction into the Barrowland Hall of Fame, Glasgow has remained a central influence in the Tide Lines story.

The record follows the breakthrough success of 2023’s ‘An Ocean Full of Islands’ which reached #13 in the UK, #1 in Scotland and #2 on the Independent Albums chart. Boosted by extensive Radio 2 support, their shows in support of the record included three consecutive sold-out nights at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom. Always a huge draw in the live arena, the band also recently performed in front of 67,000 people as they inspired Scotland to a triumphant Six Nations win over Wales at Murrayfield Stadium.

‘Glasgow Love Story’ is available to pre-order HERE. Formats include signed black vinyl, signed transparent vinyl, signed CD and a yellow cassette. A limited edition smart format offers a digital album download via a souvenir lanyard, and will offer additional audio and visual content throughout the campaign.

About Tide Lines

Tide Lines is a Scottish folk-pop band formed in 2016, comprising Robert Robertson (vocals and guitar), Ross Wilson (keyboard), Alasdair Turner (electric guitar and bagpipes), and Fergus Munro (drums). Their music blends traditional Scottish folk elements with contemporary pop and rock influences, creating anthemic indie-folk songs.

Their debut album, Dreams We Never Lost (2017), introduced their distinctive sound, featuring a mix of English and Gaelic songs. This was followed by the EP Let's Make Tonight in 2018, which included the award-winning single "Heroes," recognized as Video of the Year at the 2018 Na Trad Awards.

In 2020, Tide Lines released their second album, Eye of the Storm, which debuted at number 12 on the Official UK Album Charts and topped both the Scottish and independent album charts. Their third album, An Ocean Full of Islands, was recorded in a converted church on the Isle of Mull, reflecting their connection to Scotland's landscapes. The album was released in March 2023, accompanied by a UK and Ireland tour.

Looking ahead, Tide Lines plans to release their fourth studio album, Glasgow Love Story, on April 25, 2025. Their latest single, "Better Days," offers a nostalgic reflection on their journey from the Scottish Highlands to Glasgow, blending heartfelt vocals with traditional instruments.

Known for their dynamic live performances, Tide Lines has sold out venues like Edinburgh's Usher Hall and is scheduled to perform at the Tall Ships Festival in Aberdeen in July 2025. Their music resonates with audiences by combining folk roots with modern indie energy, capturing the essence of Scottish musical heritage.
