Girls Rugby in Bristol - Open Day with South Bristol Girls on Saturday 8 March 2025
Posted on: 04 Mar 2025South Bristol Girls Rugby will be hosting an Open Day on Saturday 8 March 2025 at Bristol Barbarians Rugby Club, located on Norton Lane just outside Whitchurch Village (BS14 0BT).

Currently they run Under 12's, Under 14's and Under 16's teams and will be looking to expand into other age groups for the 2025/26 season commencing in September. Training is on Thursday evenings with games on Sundays.
Feel free to pop along this Saturday 8 March from 10am until noon where Bristol Bears Women and Red Roses legend Sarah Bern will be taking the girls through their paces to give them an idea what rugby is all about! You will also be able to meet some of the coaches, parents and players for an open training session.
South Bristol Girls was formed in July 2022 and includes the amalgamation of girls teams from Bristol Harlequins, Broad Plain, Old Redcliffians and St Bernadettes as well as girls from across the city and beyond.

For any male adults, Norton Lane is also the home of Bristol Barbarians RFC who are always on the lookout for new players and everyone is welcome. Training for the mens team is on Wednesday evenings from 6.45pm until 8.30pm and there's always some free food available afterwards.
