Bristol Rovers Football Club mid season report 2024/25
Posted on: 02 Jan 2025Bristol Rovers sit in 19th position with 22 points from 22 games in League One at the end of 2024, just 2 points ahead of the relegation zone.
It certainly looks like a relegation battle is set for the rest of this season and we are estimating at least 46 points to secure safety. Three teams looking destined for the drop already include Shrewsbury Town, Cambridge United and Burton Albion all of which are yet to achieve even 20 points so far this season.
Of the 10 home games remaining, only Burton Albion, Peterborough, Rotherham and Stevenage are in the bottom half of the table so these are must wins and 12 points from those 4 would be very welcome. Here's hoping it's not all left to the final day and having to pick up some points from their away fixture at Blackpool.
** A 2-3 home loss versus Leyton Orient on new Years Day is not helping the cause and has dropped them into 20th place.
