New casting details announced for Kinky Boots The Musical – hitting Bristol in 2025

Musical theatre favourite Courtney Bowman will star as Lauren in the upcoming UK and Ireland tour of the Olivier, Tony and Grammy award winning musical.

 

Kinky Boots The Musical will run at The Bristol Hippodrome from Tuesday 13 until Saturday 17 May 2025.

 

WhatsOnStage award-winner Bowman will be joining up with the previously announced Johannes Radebe of Strictly Come Dancing fame as Lola and Grease’s Dan Partridge as Charlie Price for this smash hit musical sensation that features an iconic score from Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein.

Courtney Bowman won her WhatsOnStage Award for Best Performer in a Musical in 2023 for her portrayal of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. Her other notable credits include Cool Rider: 10th Anniversary Concert, Pretty Woman and the original cast of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

 

Kinky Boots is a Broadway phenomenon based on a true story adapted for a movie of the same name in 2005. The story follows Charlie Price, who finds himself inheriting his family’s struggling shoe factory and with a relationship on the rocks – life is proving to be very challenging indeed!

 

That is until he meets Lola, a drag queen whose sparkle and unsteady heels may just hold the answer to saving his family’s struggling business. Kinky Boots is guaranteed to RAISE YOU UP and celebrate everybody’s individuality with such show hits as ‘The History of Wrong Guys’, ‘Land of Lola’ and more.

 

As well as Bristol, 2025 will see Kink Boots run at venues in Leicester, Woking, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Truro, Milton Keynes, Cardiff, Brighton, Birmingham, Plymouth, Stockton, Newcastle, Leeds, Southampton, Southend, Canterbury, Belfast, Sheffield, Nottingham, Dublin and Oxford.
