Dubbed ‘Icons of the Sky’, families from all over Bristol and beyond are invited for a spectacular air festival, nothing like anything Longleat has experienced before.

Icons of the Sky will take over Longleat from Friday 13 until Sunday 15 September 2024.

Get ready for three days of breathtaking flying displays and balloon launches at the ever-popular Safari & Adventure Park and stately home. Visitors of all ages will be able to admire intricate twists and turns, fantastic formation flying and other astonishing adrenaline-pumping moments as the stars of the show reach 1000 ft across over two hours of air displays each day throughout the weekend.

Start your day bright and early by watching a sunrise mass balloon launch, featuring a range of much-loved characters, new shapes and sizes as well as a vibrant menagerie of animal balloons. Then, throughout the day, you will be able to see specially shaped balloons up close and personal, tethered to the house lawns.

Brand new for 2024, this year’s display promises to wow like never before as specialist performance aircraft take to the skies. Expect roaring flyovers from vintage military aircraft, watch as gyroplanes perform an exhilarating flight display amid dramatic smoke trails, and marvel at high-flying wing walkers.

As day turns to night, watch in awe as two Grob aircraft set the night sky alight with stunning pyrotechnics, followed by a firework finale. There will also be an exclusive members' night, allowing members to glimpse the action before anyone else on Thursday 12 September.

The daily schedule is as follows: hot air balloon ascent (7.15 AM – 9 AM), model hot air balloon display (9.15 AM – 10.15 AM), balloon tether & meet the team (10.30 AM – 2 PM), air display (2.30 PM – 4.45 PM), hot air balloon ascent (5 PM – 7 PM), pyrotechnic display (7.45 PM – 8 PM), night glow (8 PM – 8.20 PM), firework finale (8.25 PM – 8.30 PM).
