Metal favourites Party Cannon are playing Bristol later this month
Posted on: 04 Sep 2024The Scottish ‘Brutal Party Slam’ band are back with their heaviest, slamming-est and dumbest album to date, an overwhelming helping of proper punk rock.
Party Cannon will play Bristol’s Thekla on Sunday 22 September 2024.
Their latest album, Injuries Are Inevitable, is out now and sees the group double down on their signature ‘Party Slam’ style to bring metal heads an experience so IQ-lowering, so soul-crushing, so life expectancy reducing that you should probably wear a helmet to listen – and their Bristol show will be no different!

You’re sure to have seen their band logo in every corner of the metal world as the ‘Party Slam’ fiends known as Party Cannon recently dominated the Brutal Assault festival in support of their sophomore album, Injuries Are Inevitable.
Having supported legends such as Gwar, Cattle Decapitation, Gama Bomb, Suffocation and Decapitated and played virtually every UK and EU metal festival around, the five-piece’s live shows are now legendary for their ridiculous pranks, various inflatables and the infamous ‘push-up pits’ – which are truly spectacular to behold.
The band’s latest full-length effort is a concept album based on Action Park, the world’s most infamously dangerous and unsafe theme park. Speaking about Injuries Are Inevitable, the band said:
“The park was an infamous landmark in the 80s due its complete disregard for any kind of rules or safety. Park guests were free to do as they pleased, and staff were under-trained and often very drunk – most of the rides were designed and built by people who had no idea what they were doing.
“All this plus a massive party atmosphere resulted in ridiculous antics, serious injuries, and a number of deaths. We felt this really embodied the Party Cannon spirit and was the perfect subject matter for a concept album.”
