The live show is an adaptation of Tony Blackburn’s enduring BBC Radio 2 slot, Sounds Of The 60s, which attracts millions of listeners each week, featuring live music and tales from the most iconic decade when it comes to music, fashion, and pop culture.
Brought to life by the All-Star Band and Singers, expect hits from favourites including Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Everly Brothers, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Elvis, Marvin Gaye, The Drifters, Stevie Wonder and, for 2025, the group are adding medleys of The Rolling Stones, The Walker Brothers and other classic soul tunes.
Blackburn began his incredible broadcasting journey sixty years ago, in the summer of 1964. It all began off the Essex coast on the airwaves of pirate station Radio Caroline, before he went on to launch and become the first voice ever heard on BBC Radio 1 in ’67.
An illustrious career has seen Tony present on Top of the Pops, BBC Radio 1, Capital Gold, BBC Radio London and much more besides, in addition to winning awards including two Gold Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Radio –the first person in history to receive two of these lifetime achievement awards.
Blackburn is also recognised throughout the UK for being the first King of the Jungle in the inaugural series of ITV’s I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here and, since 2017, has presented the immensely popular Sounds Of The 60s on BBC Radio 2 – don’t miss out on tickets for the 2025 live tour!
