Elvis Costello & Steve Nieve will play Bristol Beacon’s Beacon Hall on Tuesday 17 September 2024.
This exciting appearance from a musical legend comes as part of a UK tour with lifelong collaborator Steve Nieve with the two national heroes delving into their incredible body of work. The pair have worked together for over 45 years, recording 25 albums, and sharing countless stages, but 25 years have elapsed since their last UK show!

Elvis Costello, real name Declan Patrick MacManus, is a seminal figure in the world of rock and pop music, emerging from the British punk and new wave scene in the late 1970s. His debut album My Aim Is True in 1977 was a critical and commercial success, showcasing his sharp wit, eclectic musical style, and distinctive voice.
Over the decades, Costello has evolved, experimenting with genres ranging from country to jazz, and collaborating with a diverse range of esteemed artists, from Burt Bacharach to The Roots. Known for razor-sharp lyrics and boundless creative energy, Costello remains a dynamic force in music, still attracting a loyal fanbase.
Steve Nieve has been a long-time member of Costello’s bands, whether that be The Imposters or The Attractions –which saw him inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. A legendary pianist, he was in Madness and has worked with musical legends including Sting, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed and more.
In addition to Bristol, ‘Costello & Nieve in Concert’ will drop by venues in Leeds, Glasgow, Gateshead, Manchester, Liverpool, Buxton, Cardiff, Oxford, Poole, London, Ipswich, Wolverhampton, and Dublin. Hurry, some of these shows are already sold out!
