Next month, everyone’s favourite record shop will be digging deep to bring the best tunes in their vast collection to the popular taproom for an all-vinyl session.

 

‘Friendly Records Block Party’ will take over Lost and Grounded’s Whitby Road taproom on Friday 6 September 2024.

 

Fans of good music and good beer can expect stellar sets from Boca 45, Billy Fuller and the rest of the Friendly Records crew, ensuring a healthy level of groovin’. Start the weekend right with this fun-filled event that will also include £1 pints raising money for Feed the Homeless and banging burgers and dirty fries courtesy of Fat Dad’s Kitchen!

Friendly Records is a much-loved long-running independent record shop based in Bedminster. Selling mainly used records, the shop’s stock includes hip-hop, soul, funk, jazz, global, indie/alternative, bass music soundtracks and much more alongside their popular merch.

 

Away from selling records, Friendly is ever-present in Bristol’s music community, dabbling in event promotion in the past, starting their own label, teaming up with such local music heavyweights as IDLES and Portishead and, more recently, regularly hosting intimate, low-key DJ sets at their very own bar.

 

Beginning life in summer 2016, Lost and Grounded is one of Bristol’s best-loved breweries and has long been at the forefront of the city's burgeoning brewing scene. From their flagship Keller Pils to easy-drinking pale ale Wanna Go To The Sun, they incorporate aspects of German and Belgian beers.

 

Their spacious taproom is located at 91 Whitby Road and is open on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the year. This inclusive space welcomes dogs and children and hosts a plethora of exciting events throughout the year, from an Oktoberfest celebration to a painting party.
