Sustainable Fashion Week returns to Bristol and all over the world this year
Posted on: 31 Jul 2024The largest ever Sustainable Fashion Week is here, uniting communities with more than 19 hubs across the UK and the globe, highlighting ‘The Power of Repair’.
Sustainable Fashion Week runs across the UK from Friday 20 to Sunday 29 September 2024.

The programme kicks off on Friday 20 September with workshops and exhibitions taking place at various international and UK-based hubs, showcasing the best of sustainable fashion and collective action with help from local organisations.
Bath Spa University will be hosting the event closest to Bristol, alongside Fashion Roundtable and its National Centre for Fashion & Sustainability. Co-hosting this year’s flagship hub, a week of activity will take place at the Locksbrook campus, featuring an exhibition of Kirstie McLeod’s renowned Red Dress with workshops, talks and more.
Away from the many events and activities taking place worldwide, SFW is collaborating with Two Daughters on a unique children’s activation inspired by its popular animation series, Moley. This initiative aims to educate and engage children in sustainability practices from a young age.
Speaking about this year’s event, Amelia Twine (SFW founder) has said: “At SFW our aim is to unite communities nationally, through the power of taking action locally. This year’s theme, 'The Power of Repair,' is about more than just mending clothes.
“It's about mending our relationship with clothing and the environment. We’re creating a platform where community, creativity and sustainability come together to inspire change.”
