Bristol Harbour Fest announce completed lineup including a special guest DJ

With the much-loved annual celebration of Bristol's historic harbourside a mere two weeks away, organisers have today announced the finishing touches to what's shaping up to be a special 2024 edition.

Bristol Harbour Festival runs across the city's iconic harbourside from Friday 19 until Sunday 21 July 2024.

Bristol's renowned boat, Thekla, will be hosting a programme brimming with exciting live music as well as a DJ set from Bristol comedy legend Jayde Adams and an iconic silent disco on its three stages. Alongside the final music acts, Bristol Harbour Fest have announced new-for-2024 Festival Fringe experiences.

Newly announced artists and venues are joining an impressive lineup of Bristol royalty. Eva Lazarus's larger-than-life vocals will dazzle the Amphitheatre, alongside dancehall-bass favourite Grove (pictured below). Fresh from performing at Glastonbury, they'll join indie-pop singer-songwriter "songwriter of the year" Gabriel Templar, and The Beatles Dub Club, offering a unique DJ set celebrating The Fab Four.

Celebrating its 40th birthday, Thekla regularly hosts international touring acts as well as grassroots artists, but for Bristol Harbour Festival weekend it’s all about local talent. For 2024, up-and-coming bands will also perform on the Dockside Stage. Headlining Saturday night is costumed, shanty-singing folk-rockers Piratitude that have captivated audiences since 2019.

After the main entertainment comes to a close, Bristol comedian, actress, writer and singer, Jayde Adams takes to the decks onboard the iconic vessel for its long-running weekly club night, Pop Confessional. DJing alongside The Beatles Dub Club’s Chris Arnold, Jayde will drop the best in pop, chart, R&B and guilty pleasures all night long (18+ only and ticketed separately).

On Sunday night - as part of the festival's main programming - the 789s will take to the stage, delivering singalong covers of massive hits with an indie-rock flair. Other artists in Thekla’s Dockside Stage lineup include cult Bristol alt-rock band Belishas and Americana outfit Hicktown Breakout.

Festival-goers can also experience the Cargo Hold stage aboard Thekla, with performances from Bath band Sober Sundays, post-punk group Dreamwave and experimental electronic artist Sonnotto. Thekla’s signature top-deck silent disco will also keep Bristol dancing all day and night on Saturday.

In addition to Thekla’s diverse lineup, the 2024 celebration marks the debut of Bristol Harbour Festival Fringe Festival, extending the party beyond the main stages. Expect hidden gems throughout the City Centre with local performers and artists performing live music, day parties, short film screenings and more.
