Running for six ‘Summer Nights’ at The Bristol Hippodrome later this year, prepare for a whirlwind musical tale of Pink Ladies, T Birds and plenty of Summer Lovin’.

 

Grease: The Musical runs at The Bristol Hippodrome from Monday 16 until Saturday 21 September 2024.

 

Following a fleeting summer romance, leather-clad greaser Danny Zuko and girl-next-door Sandy Olsson are unexpectedly thrown back together when Sandy moves to Rydell High School for senior year. Queue a timeless tale filled with the trials and tribulations of teenage life and, of course, love.

The world’s best-loved musical is back on stage, grittier and more glamorous than ever. Complete with an iconic score that features such smash hits as ‘Summer Nights’, ‘Greased Lightnin’’, ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’, ‘You’re The One That I Want’ and so many more.

 

Despite debuting as a stage musical, Grease truly became a worldwide cultural phenomenon in 1978 with the release of the John Travolta and Olivia Newton John starring movie, a flick which has since become a favourite of musical fans all over the world.

 

This bold new touring production is brought to life by Nikolai Foster as well as a talented cast that features the likes of Marley Fenton (Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends) as Danny, Hope Dawe (Mountview graduate) as Sandy, Rebecca Stenhouse (Legally Blonde) as Rizzo and George Michaelides (Disney’s Newsies) as Kenickie.

 

In addition to Bristol, the 2024 tour of Grease: The Musical is all set for runs in Bromley, Dublin, Hull, Northampton, Ipswich, Liverpool, Norwich, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bradford, Milton Keynes, Eastbourne, Blackpool, Nottingham, Cardiff, Oxford, Manchester, Southampton, Sheffield and more.
