Don’t forget – Trinity’s massive, free Garden Party is on this weekend

Posted on: 06 May 2024

The sun-drenched all-day mini-festival is back again and the team at Trinity can’t wait to welcome Bristolians through their famous gates once again.

Trinity Garden Party will take over the Bristol venue’s grounds on Sunday 12 May 2024. This FREE annual music and arts extravaganza will feature a vibrant and eclectic blend of local artists, bands and performers. Garden Party is a family-friendly event with workshops, activities and more also running throughout the day – don’t miss out on this one!

Headlining this calendar-topping event will be Selecta J-Man, an acclaimed new school D&B producer with a deep love of reggae who has worked with the likes of Protoje, London Posse, Charlie P, Eva Lazarus and more.

Joining J-Man on stage will be prolific and versatile MC Rider Shafique; a Gloucester-born lyricist, poet, MC and recording artist who has lent his undeniable lyrics and flow to the likes of Critical Music, Shogun Audio, J. Sparrow, Sub Zero and Young Echo.

Club Djembe co-head and talented selector Josephine Gyasi will also be in attendance, presenting a blend of funk, funky house, Afrobeats, dub and more. Also displaying his talent on the decks will be Kesh, the mind behind popular Bristol club nights AnExperience and Pangea.

In terms of live music, one of the youngest Gnawa masters in the world Mohamed Errebbaa will be lending his immense talents, while genre-juggling lyricist Komposa will be gracing the Garden Party with his beats, gritty flows and masterful lyricism.

There will also be appearances from the eclectic group Los Gusanos who blend blues, jazz, Latin and Afro-Colombian music, as well as rising folk singer-songwriter Eva Penney. Away from the music, there’ll be everything from workshops, arts & crafts and family activities to food stalls, a well-stocked bar and a preponderance of good vibes.

The Garden Party is this weekend, Sunday 12 May – and tickets are completely free. To get yours, go to Trinity’s website.
