A unique Old City bar is hosting an acclaimed Bristol trio

The Rummer Hotel, a bar and distillery on the oldest licenced premises in Bristol, are hosting performances from the unique acoustic duo/trio Silver Souled for the next few months.

The Rummer is a unique venue tucked away in the cobbled streets of Bristol’s Old City, within the twisting alleyways around Corn Street’s historic Market Exchange. So too is the Rummer an example of a historic Bristol property: the oldest licenced premises in Bristol, the Rummer dates from 1742 – and the site it sits on is that of an older inn dating from 1241.

The Rummer is a stylish, independent bar – and attached to it is an acclaimed microdistillery. Bristol Dry Gin Micro Distillery has been running for 7 years, and has grown to offer an acclaimed range of award-winning gins, vodkas and rums - with those awards including two World Gin Awards. They offer gin tastings, distillery tours, and samples – as well as, of course, running the shop where you can take home a bottle of the world-famous spirits for yourself.

Now, the bar is set to be graced by a brand new musical experience – presented by local outfit Silver Souled. Silver Souled are a female-led acoustic duo/trio that hail from the Rummer’s very own home of Bristol – having travelled across the world with their music, they’re returning to their roots for a series of mood-setting performances.

Silver Souled are performing in the Rummer every other Friday, beginning Friday 19 April. If you aren’t mathematically (or horologically) inclined, that means the rest of the performances will take place on Friday 3 May, Friday 17 May, and Friday 24 May – with performances starting from 20:00.
