Basement 45, a veteran venue on Frogmore St, have opened up their brand new room, the Bijou Room, to private hire.

Regarded by many as one of the best underground dance music venues in Bristol, Basement 45 has been hosting some of the city's best parties since its opening back in 2009.

Basement 45 is one of Bristol's longest-running club venues, operating under different names as far back as the early 1960s. Currently, the venue is a firm favourite among up-and-coming local promoters, with a variety of parties catering for dedicated fans of Bristol's renowned underground music scene.

Past performances at Basement 45 include Skrillex, Skream, Eats Everything, Disclosure, LTJ Bukem, Alix Perez, Benga, Katy B, Friction, d:Bridge & many more. Laid out over one level, the club has a capacity of 300, with three bars and now, four different rooms for events.

The Basement 45 Bijou Room is a new, intimate hire space for small group parties and for use as a practice space. The space boasts its own soundsystem, DJ equipment (2x CDJ 2000NXS2 & DJM 900NXS2), ample seating and it’s own hatch for constant access to the bar.

The room has no noise limitations, for a truly wall-shaking party, regardless of size – which also makes it perfect for band practise if your band plays more disruptive genres like noise rock or metal.

Basement 45 have also gone on record saying that they want the new room to be a breeding ground for new music – an affordable space for experimentation by small artists with big ideas. The space is £75 for 4-5 hours, plus a refundable damage deposit – and the system is equipped for you to bring your own DJ or simply plug and play your own phone or USB.
