A certified comedy superstar, the cheeky Liverpudlian is adding extra dates to his ‘Back At It’ UK and Ireland tour following a phenomenal demand for tickets.

 

John Bishop will perform at Bristol Beacon’s Beacon Hall on Thursday 20 March 2025.

 

After two years of presenting, stage acting, podcast hosting, dog walking and decorating the spare room, Bishop is back doing the thing he loves most; standing on the stage and making people laugh. These newly announced extra shows bring the ‘Back At It’ touring schedule to an astonishing 86 live dates!

After a career journeyman career in lower league football, John Bishop eventually pursued comedy full-time in 2006, at the age of 40; quickly becoming a star of the UK circuit thanks to his warm, relatable humour and natural flair for storytelling.

 

Following a series of acclaimed stand-up shows, Bishop quickly became a TV regular and has appeared in such UK favourites as Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Road Show, Skins, A League of Their Own and Doctor Who as well as presenting a slew of his own shows.

 

He has also released an autobiography titled How Did All This Happen? and co-hosts the Three Little Words podcast with actor Tony Pitts. In 2022 he starred alongside Sir Ian McKellen in the pantomime Mother Goose which went on to run at The Bristol Hippodrome as part of a UK-wide tour.

 

The newly announced 2025 leg of the ‘Back At It’ tour will see John Bishop drop by venues in Weymouth, Portsmouth, Southampton, Rhyl, High Wycombe, Brighton, Worthing, Nottingham, Reading, Chatham, Llandudno, Sheffield, Bristol, Bath, Torquay, and Truro. Tickets for all these shows go on sale this Friday.
