Dot to Dot announce amazing lineup for second wave

Posted on: 01 Mar 2024

Dot to Dot, the metropolitan music festival that’s just a few months away, has announced their stellar second wave of artists.

Dot to Dot is another in Bristol’s magnificent calendar of fresh, innovative and scrappy summer city festivals – making the best possible use of the city’s rogue’s gallery of weird and wonderful music venues, Dot to Dot spans across thirteen total venues and stages.

The multiplicity of the music venues involved is only made more multifarious by the many genres the festival has to offer – a policy that lets the organisers focus on winning talent, and fresh faces. Now, Dot to Dot have announced their second wave of artists for the 2024 edition coming this May – and it’s just as exciting as before.

Joining Mercury-nominated Jockstrap as headliners, Wunderhorse are a gritty indie rock outfit lent an emotive edge by frontman Jacob Slater’s disaffected yet expressive vocals. Reminiscent of classic punk and grunge bands, Wunderhorse were good enough to join their forebears on tours with Fontaines D.C, Pixies & Foals, whilst selling out their own headline shows.

Another special act announced are The Magic Gang – as part of their farewell tour. Loveable for their funky indie pop, The Magic Gang are splitting after over a decade, and their Dot to Dot performance will serve as part of their farewell tour. No doubt it’ll be one to remember!

Also included in the line-up are – hot off an acclaimed performance at Simple Things – Welsh indie-rockers The Bug Club, festival favourite and rising-star rapper Antony Szmierek and acclaimed Canadian star Abby Sage.

Fellow Canadians Ducks, Ltd. will also be making a showing, joined in the lineup by Berlin’s Anna Erhard, the French rockers En Attendant Ana, and Nashville’s folksy singer-songwriter Mali Velasquez.

Other acts announced include His Lordship, the inimitable Babymorocco, Chartareuse, Infinity Song, Bleach Lab, the cusp-of-wild-fame Pastel, C Turtle, Cosmorat, blender of gabber and folk EBBB, Manchester rising-star Freak Slug, Full Moon Flower Band, Girl Scout, Glizz, Gurriers, Home Counties, D2D alumni Hutch, KOJ, Lizzie Esau, DJ Lucy Tun, Lyvia, the oddly named but highly talented Oscar #Worldpeace and Unpeople.

Dot to Dot is set to take place in Bristol on Saturday 25 May, and Nottingham Sunday 26 May. For information on the venues & lineup, or for tickets, head to their website.
