Tickets running low to catch Ed Gamble live in Bristol

Tickets running low to catch Ed Gamble live in Bristol

Posted on: 23 Feb 2024

With less than a month ago until the acclaimed comedian and Off Menu co-host hits Bristol’s biggest theatre venues, you may be surprised to know that there are still tickets available!

Ed Gamble will perform ‘Hot Diggity Dog’ at The Bristol Hippodrome on Tuesday 19 March 2024.

Describing his brand-new show ‘Hot Diggity Dog’, Ed uses a food-related analogy: “Ed Gamble has minced a load of meat (thoughts), piped into a casing (show) and it’s coming to a bun (venue) near you.” Expect plenty of classic Gamble ranting, raving and spluttering but he is doing fine mentally – he promises!

After cutting his teeth with regular collaborator Ray Peacock at the Edinburgh Fringe and winning the 2007 Chortle Student Comedy Award for a solo show, Ed Gamble broke into the public consciousness in the mid-2010s with TV appearances on shows like Russell Howard’s Good News showing a sign of things to come.

Since then, Gamble has become a UK comedy favourite and a regular on our TV screens with numerous appearances on shows such as Mock The Week and Taskmaster, which he won in 2019. He is also one of the co-hosts of the hit quiz show Pointless and host of The Traitors: Uncloaked – shining a light on all the latest banishments and betrayals.

Perhaps his most notable success is the celebrated food and comedy podcast Off Menu, which he hosts alongside close friend and fellow comic James Acaster. The pair have welcomed the likes of Florence Pugh, Yotam Ottolenghi, Ed Sheeran, Jamie Oliver, Louis Theroux, Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan to their ‘dream restaurant’ since its launch in 2018.

As well as Bristol, Ed Gamble’s ‘Hot Diggity Dog’ tour will drop by venues in Cambridge, Norwich, Glasgow, Swansea, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, York, Dublin, Belfast, Northampton, Portsmouth, Birmingham, Stoke, Hull, Brighton, Nottingham, Reading, London, Cardiff and more with many dates already sold out. Visit the comedian’s website for more information.
