Celebrate the 40th of Return of the Jedi with Bristol Film Festival

What better place in Bristol to celebrate this astonishing milestone than on location at a site that contributed to construction of more than 60 spacecraft?

 

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi will be screened at Aerospace Bristol on Tuesday 7 November 2023 as part of Bristol Film Festival.

 

With enough thrills and spills to quench even the Sarlaac’s appetite, this legendary film is a fitting finale to the original Star Wars trilogy and will be made all the more epic with a showing on the big screen underneath Concorde – one of the most iconic planes ever to take to the skies!

The third and final part of the original Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi was released in 1983 and to this day is regarded as one of the top releases in the overall series, picking up the story almost a full year after the events of The Empire Strikes Back.

 

Luke Skywalker and his companions' journey to Tatooine to rescue Han Solo from the clutches of Jabba The Hut while the empire prepares to crush the Rebels with a more powerful Death Star as the Rebel fleet mounts an attack on the space station. The movie culminates in a cinematic duel with his father, Darth Vader, and the evil emperor.

 

Bristol Film Festival have an immense programme of films planned with screenings of cinematic triumphs including The Silence Of The Lambs, Amelie, The Godfather and Twilight shown at iconic Bristol locations such as Averys Wine Merchant, The Mount Without, Redcliffe Caves

 

Before the film begins, Star Wars fans will be able to step onboard the Concorde and take in the fascinating archival footage of her maiden voyage. As the film begins, take your seats beneath the wings of this iconic plane, settle back and enjoy the show.
