Noods Levels to run Bristol-based masterclasses for aspiring electronic producers

This brand-new event series, aimed at young Bristolian talent, will be led by some of the top names in electro, DnB, garage, techno and house.

 

Noods’ Tread series will run at The Cube Microplex on Tuesday 26 September, Tuesday 24 October and Tuesday 21 November 2023.

 

Youth led organisation Noods Levels CIC have today launched Tread, their Autumn series of music production masterclasses ran by the crème de la crème of electronic artists in the shape of Dismantle, Aya and Frazer Ray.

Tread’s unique production masterclasses will offer budding producers the chance to learn from the best, enriching and engaging individuals from all disciplines and backgrounds. The events will be hosted by Bristol MCs and industry experts Tom Koast, Ben Chilton and A for Alpha as well as the aforementioned electronic afficionados.

 

The series kick starts on Tuesday 26 September with Dismantle who has been a fixture of UK club culture for over a decade, DJing with Bristol pioneer DJ Die and collaborating with legendary MCs D Double, Inja and Emz. This event will be hosted by Bristol MC and Durkle Disco founder, Tom Koast.

 

Tuesday 24 October will see London based artist Aya drop by The Cube. Having dazzled the UK underground with her experimental approach to club production and genre defying DJ sets, Aya draws inspiration draws inspiration from her creative upbringing in West Yorkshire. This event will be hosted by Ben Chilton of Modular, Elavator Sound and Paradisco Nights.

 

Closing the series on Tuesday 21 November is Frazer Ray, a UK rave favourite known for electrifying DJ sets that incorporate breaks, garage and hardcore. Well established in his scene, Frazer blends past and the future with high energy DJ and production skills, keeping UK dance’s rich legacy alive. Hosting is A for Alpha, a specialist in house, garage and techno.

 

Each of these artists will be sharing their own unique journeys, offering an insight into their own, idiosyncratic approach to their craft. Talks will be followed by a Q&A session, allowing attendees to delve deeper into the careers of their heroes.
