Caffeine heads rejoice! The inaugural Bristol Coffee Festival runs next weekend

Bringing a Coffee Festival to the South-West for the first time, this inclusive event will have something for everyone, whether you’re a coffee lover, home brewer, barista or coffee professional.

 

Bristol Coffee Festival is set to take place at Bristol Beacon on Saturday 9 September 2023.

 

Expect a marvellous coffee-fuelled day featuring a selection of amazing exhibitors, important panels, workshops, fun competitions, an unforgettable Coffee Trail, the new concept green coffee village, the Southern Filter Championship and more.

Organisers of the Bristol Coffee Festival have prepared a whole host of activities and surprises to keep attendees going. On the run up to the festival, coffee lovers will be able to embark on an exciting Coffee Trail with the opportunity to win free entry to the festival itself. Find out more here.

 

Throughout the day at the Bristol Beacon, organisers will run three workshops offering attendees a different perspective on coffee flavours, each taking you on a different sensory experience.

 

Between 11 AM and 12 PM, caffeine heads will be taken on a flavoursome adventure with Extract Coffee Roasters, exploring diverse coffee growing regions and learning the tastes that define each place, hearing the stories that define coffee’s origins along the way.

 

From 1 PM to 2 PM, discover the multisensory world of coffee flavours with Fabiana Carvalho, courtesy of Beyond the Bean. Explore the relationship between taste, smell and touch and how the senses combine to create a tich tapestry of experience.

 

3 PM to 4 PM will see Ana Luiza Pellicer running a workshop that demystifies coffee processing and fermentation, teaching different techniques and the impact they have on coffee quality. You will also have the opportunity to sample brews from Mió farm.
