The South West’s largest Oktoberfest is coming to Bristol

Posted on: 14 Aug 2023

It may still be August but October is fast approaching and it may be the right time to start planning exciting events to shake away those autumnal blues with Oktoberfest coming at just the right time.

Bristol Oktoberfest will run at Canon’s Marsh Amphitheatre between Friday 6 and Saturday 7 October 2023.

Originating in Munich, Germany before taking the UK by storm in more recent years with the Bristol event welcoming more than 6,000 beer-lovers across three sessions of Bavarian themed fun – you do not want to miss this!

Ticket are available for between £8 and £12 and can be purchased HERE.

The roots of Oktoberfest can, of course, not be traced back to Bristol, look instead to Munich and the Bavarian region of Germany. On 12 October 1810, the soon to be King Ludwig was married and invited the whole city to celebrate, with a massive feast and horse racing planned – the party has been repeated ever since!

From the Bristol event, attendees can expect a full German-style beer marquee, decorated to the Bavarian theme. Your four-hour session will also feature a live Oompah band, Lederhosen wearing bar and table staff, authentic German beer served in steins, food stalls serving Bratwurst, Hanz the Butcher Hog Roasts and more.

VIP tables are available for those looking to make a group booking, including 10 seating tickets, 10 food vouchers, 10 steins to keep and free first pint, VIP queue jumping for 10, personal service and a private table in the VIP area.

Bristol Oktoberfest will run at Canon’s Marsh Amphitheatre between Friday 6 and Saturday 7 October 2023 with sessions taking place between 6.30 PM and 11 PM on the Friday and 12.30 PM - 5.30 PM and 6.30 PM – 11 PM on the Saturday.

Ticket are available for between £8 and £12 and can be purchased HERE.
