Pete & Bas will play Bristol’s Marble Factory on Friday 24 November 2023.

Peter Bowditch and Basil Reginald “Big Dipper” Bellgrave first burst onto the scene in 2017 with their debut single ‘Shut Ya Mouth’. Both in their 70s, the duo discovered their love of hip hop when Pete’s granddaughter was playing music on his car radio.

Once he got Bas into the genre, they went about writing and recording their own material before uploading it to YouTube. They instantly went viral, and haven’t looked back ever since, playing shows up and down the country and releasing a slew of successful singles.

In addition to collaborations with Brixton rapper M24 and fellow geriatric rap collective, Pete & Bas have been co-signed by a long list of artists including Jaykae, Mist, D Double E, Dizzee Rascal, Giggs, Headie One and Dave.

In addition to Marble Factory, Pete & Bas’ ‘Smash Your Back Doors In” UK tour will see them appear at SWG3 in Glasgow, New Century in Manchester and Troxy in London throughout November. More information can be found here.
