Celebrate 20 years of vegan festivals with a massive FREE party courtesy of VegFest UK

The Bristol-based operation will be marking this landmark anniversary with a brilliant two-day home coming party featuring top DJs including Ray Mighty of Smith & Mighty.

 

VegFest’s Bristol Vegan Fayre will take place at Document on Pennywell Lane on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September 2023.

 

Formed in Bristol back in 2003 with the launch of the Bristol Vegan Fayre (the first event of its kind to mix veganism and rock n roll), VegFest have since put on further events throughout the UK as well as inspiring various other similar events.

This exciting event will see around eighty stallholders - including ten caterers – and a host of talks and entertainment take over the enormous indoor space that is Document, alongside a cosy outside area for DJs and dancing – a throwback to VegFest’s iconic events of the early 2000s.

 

On top of this, a chill out room will ensure space for workshops, a kids area, a licensed bar and plenty of seating and space, whilst the main talks room seats 150 with an impressive lineup of inspirational speakers, uplifting performers and intriguing panels planned, alongside some keynote speakers and a comedy hour each day. 

 

Over the two days, between 3,000 and 4,000 are expected to attend the event on Pennywell Lane with the organisers hoping that the Bristol Vegan Fayre will once more become an annual event.

 

“We started out first event 20 years ago in Bristol and it’s great to be back again”, said the organisers, “adding in some outdoor caterers and a host of independent ethical traders inside plus some comedy, panels, talks and music and we have a bit of a special day out for visitors – free tickets, bring a friend and come and celebrate in style!”

 

The music programme is spearheaded by Bristol music legend Ray Mighty, of Smith & Mighty, headlining the Saturday and a packed hour of vegan comedy performers, as well as live music throughout the day.
