Bristol's top graduation party destinations

Congratulations! After three years, or one year, or six years (any PhDs in our readership?), you’ve done it! Whatever grade you may have come out with, you’ve graduated – and that in itself is something worth celebrating.

So celebrate you must – and who parties better than students? Well, maybe students about to dive off the cliff into the cold and tumultuous waters of the wider world. That’s you!

This is a big celebration, for a big moment in your life – so you want to get it right, naturally. That means the right people, the right fit – and the right location. We can’t help with the first two (although we’ve heard parachute pants are making a comeback), but we can help with the latter. Here’s our list of the BEST places in Bristol for your ultimate grad party.

Antix

A stalwart of the Bristol party scene, and just a stone’s throw up Park Street, Antix is known as one of Bristol’s go-to late-night venues. Open until 4am most days, 5am Thursdays, and 6am Fridays and Saturdays, Antix is a blazing beacon in Bristol for those late-night revellers who refuse to heed the call of the morning star.

Catering to everyone from casual dancefloor partiers, to those looking for a full table experience, Antix has free entry before 11pm on Friday & Saturday – and free entry ALL night every other day. Add all that to their offer of 2-for-1 drinks until midnight, and you can see why Antix would make a perfect venue for your graduation party! Get more info, or book a table, here.

Lizard Lounge

Another veteran of Bristol’s party scene, and a nearby neighbour of Antix (just up on the Triangle), Lizard Lounge is a student favourite thanks to providing quality at affordable prices, and reliable parties every weekend.

Lizard Lounge is also available for hire – if you’re a big group looking to host your own private grad bash, this is a great place to look.

The Lanes

If you’re looking for something quirkier for your graduation celebration, The Lanes is definitely the place to go. Based out of a beautiful old red-brick building, The Lanes is a club and bar that boasts some seriously compelling extras; just behind the dancefloor are old-school bowling lanes that are active into the wee hours, and the upstairs area boasts a foosball table, multiple pool tables, a photo booth – and a karaoke room.

The Lanes puts out a host of parties non-stop, but if you’re looking for something more private, they’re also available for a variety of sizes of bookings. Check out their website here.

Mr Wolfs

St Nicholas St is, in many ways, one of Bristol’s best-kept secret party streets, home to a whole host of beloved bars, pubs and restaurants. Not least amongst those is Mr Wolfs, another of the legendary casual late-night party venues of Bristol.

All the late-night fun of a club, mixed with the explosive energy of a gig venue, and the laid-back sprawl of a bar, Mr Wolfs caters to a lot of interests all at once.

Mr Wolfs is another one available for private hire – boasting its own rooftop terrace area if you choose to do so. Get more info here.
