Bristol Film Festival’s Clifton Summer Screenings to take place later this month

Taking over The Mall Gardens in the centre of Clifton, the inaugural Summer Screenings programme sees a range of exciting blockbusters projected onto the big screen.

 

Clifton Summer Screenings will run as part of the Bristol Film Festival from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 July 2023.

 

From Star Wars to Shrek, Moana to La La Land, this delightful new film series will feature a pop-up cinema with covered seating for 200 guests, a state-of-the-art LED screen and wireless headphones with top quality audio all to ensure a brilliant event, rain or shine.

Clifton Summer Screenings begins on Friday 28 July with a full day of film screenings. Epic Disney adventure Moana will be shown at 10 AM, Aardman favourite Chicken Run at 12.30 PM, veteran star-filled rom-com The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel at 3 PM, legendary musical Grease at 6 PM, and sci-fi pop culture sensation Star Wars: A New Hope.

 

Saturday 29 July sees Disney’s Rapunzel reworking Tangled screened at 10 AM, Britain’s best-loved bear in Paddington at 12.30 PM, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s ‘buddy cop’ satire Hot Fuzz at 2.45 PM, modern classic musical La La Land at 5.45 PM, and the Patrick Swayze-starring dance fest Dirty Dancing.

 

On Sunday 30 July the pop-up cinema will once more feature a stacked lineup with Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Disney smash hit Encanto at 10 AM, acclaimed animated fairy tale Shrek at 12.30 PM, E.M. Forster adaptation, A Room With A View at 2.45 PM, ABBA jukebox musical Mamma Mia! at 5.30 PM and time travelling sci-fi sensation Back To The Future at 8.15 PM.

If that’s not enough, Bristol Film Festival already have an immense line-up of events planned between now and the end of the year with exciting screenings of Good Will Hunting and Everything Everywhere All At Once at Screening Room and Bend It Like Beckham at Ashton Gate Stadium still to take place this summer.
