Get yourself down to The Rising Sun’s Bandaoke this Friday

Posted on: 27 Jun 2023

This Friday sees the much-loved Windmill Hill pub pull out all the stops to present a karaoke event like no other.

Always a popular event, the concept of The Rising Sun’s Bandaoke works the same as any other karaoke event, however, (and here’s the twist) rather than singing along to a tinny backing track, those taking part will be singing along to a full live band.

To take part in this event, get yourselves down The Rising Sun – Windmill Hill at 8.30 PM on Friday 30 June.

Bandaoke is available to anyone who’s up for braving the stage (regardless of ability), so, if you’ve been watching Glasto on the telly and you fancy yourself as a bit of an Elton John, Alex Turner, Blondie, or Rick Astley (as long as they’re on the set list), or just want to sit back and enjoy the show, get yourself down to The Rising Sun this weekend.

With a wide selection of songs to choose from, all you reader need to do is enter your name to the list alongside your song choice and wait for your opportunity to share the stage with the pub’s famous house band. Attendees are recommended to get down to the pub early on Friday as this is an immensely popular event.

Located on Alfred Road in the Windmill Hill area of Bristol, The Rising Sun was Reopened back in 2019 by the team behind Redcliffe’s The Golden Guinea and North Street’s The Steam Crane.

A quirky pub perched at the top of Windmill Hill with an interior decorated with ornate mirrors, the venue features flock wallpaper and upcycled furniture in addition to a covered beer garden to the rear in addition to a healthy selection of beers, ciders, and spirits on top of regular music events and community activities.
