‘The Wedding is off, but The Honeymoon is on’ in this sensational new musical featuring a soundtrack from legendary production and songwriting team, Stock Aitken Waterman.

 

I Should Be So Lucky: The Stock Aitken Waterman Musical runs at The Bristol Hippodrome from Tuesday 9 and Saturday 13 April 2024.

 

It’s here. What you have all been waiting for, all the hit-factory songs you know and love so well – finally on stage in a brand-new musical. Pop music fans can expect a roster of pop favourites featuring the biggest artists from the 80s and beyond.

Hop from aisle to the isles in this official Stock Aitken Waterman musical featuring the soundtrack of a generation with material from pop royalty such as Kylie Minogue (‘I Should Be So Lucky’), Rick Astley (‘Never Gonna Give You Up’), Jason Donovan (‘Especially For You’), Bananarama (‘Love In The First Degree’) and many more.

 

Hilarious and heart-warming in equal measure, I Should Be So Lucky is a musical about family, friends, love and good times with soaring anthems, pop classics and dazzling dance sequences.

 

The musical follows Ella and Nathan, a young couple, hopelessly in love, and about to take the biggest step of their lives – marriage. Until it all goes wrong. Will they be together forever? Or will he make her cry and say goodbye? Find out when I Should Be So Lucky drops by Bristol next year. 

 

The production features 10 Number Ones and over 30 songs from the era-defining Hit Factory. The creative team is led by stage and screen staple Debbie Isitt (writer-director of the Nativity! franchise) and Jason Gilkison (creative director of Strictly Come Dancing and Eurovision 2023) as well as music from Stock Aitken Waterman.
