Multi-award-winning musical Come From Away has announced its first-ever tour of the UK and Ireland – and it’s coming to Bristol next year.

 

Come From Away runs at The Bristol Hippodrome from Tuesday 20 until Saturday 31 August 2024.

 

Following a triumphant run in the West End with over 1000 performances and a staggering 850,000 attendees at the Phoenix Theatre, this critically acclaimed show is ready to embark on a new journey - including the Bristol Hippodrome.

Winner of Best New Musical across the globe, Come From Away tells the remarkable true story of 7,000 air passengers from different parts of the world who found themselves stranded in Canada during the aftermath of 9/11 - shedding light on the extraordinary bond that formed between these "come from aways" and the welcoming community in Newfoundland that embraced them.

Experience the heartwarming narrative and uplifting music as spirited locals and global passengers come together, forging friendships that will endure a lifetime.

 

Through the eyes of real characters, such as the first female American Airlines captain, the quick-thinking town mayor, the mother of a New York firefighter, and an eager local news reporter, the audience witnesses the start of a historic moment that forever altered the course of history.
