Europe’s premium music event, The Eurovision Song Contest, is back for a 67th edition with musicians from around the continent descending on Liverpool this weekend.

 

The Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final will take place on Saturday 13 May 2023.

 

Just because Bristol made a failed bid to host this year’s event (of just £70, pffft) doesn’t mean that Bristolians shouldn’t be able to enjoy the show and a range of the city’s best venues are all set to celebrate in style!

 

So, it’s time to start thinking about costumes because we’ve rounded up our picks of the bunch when it comes to this year’s Eurovision parties…

 

Bristol and Bath Science Park | Dirac Cres, Emersons Green, BS16 7FR

 

Bristol Pride and Bristol and Bath Science Park have joined forces for a spectacular screening like no other! Witness the glitz, glamour, and over-the-top performances of Europe’s biggest music event on a massive six-metre screen, complete with state-of-the-art sound.

 

There will even be an ABBA tribute band performing for the first hour of the event with a fully stocked bar and a delicious food stall on site. This is a FREE event that begins at 6 PM, secure your ticket here.

Queenshilling | 9 Frogmore St, BS1 5NA

 

A multi-award-winning LGBTQ+ Nightclub, Queenshilling is a stone-cold Bristol institution. This weekend, the club will be hosting a Eurovision watch party (drag edition!) with hosts Macha ZU and Jersey the Devil.

 

With two large screens and four smaller ones, this is all set to be a fabulous event not to be missed. So drink, dance and relax as if you’re attending the real thing! Doors open from 8 PM so get down early and catch the warmup act.

St George’s Bristol | Great George St, BS1 5RR

 

Witness Europe’s favourite musical extravaganza unfold on the big screen of St George’s beautiful bar space. Join fellow Eurovision fanatics in enjoying specially made cocktails and inspired small plates and take part in a classic game of Eurovision bingo!

 

Beginning at 8 PM, attendees are strongly encouraged to come dressed for the occasion (you may even be rewarded!), so dig out your most colourful garments and prepare yourself to watch the world’s favourite flamboyant music events at one of Bristol’s most grand venues. Book here.

Head down to one of Bristol’s favourite cultural hubs this Saturday for a spectacular screening of the Eurovision Final 2023. Watershed is hosting a sing and drink-along in their spacious café & bar with a large bowl of Euro nachos – perfect for sharing!

 

The whole event will be streamed live and loud on the big screen and is sure to prove busy so head over early to grab your seat – Eurovision-themed outfits are optional but encouraged. The party begins at 7.30 PM and is FREE.

The Cube Microplex | Dove St South, BS2 8NQ

 

The cult community-run venue are prepared to embrace Euro-pop campness this weekend. Does your bone marrow pulse with passion for the greatest and oldest televised singing competition? Have you grown weary of watching the cultural event of the year with nay-sayers? Well, The Cube is the place to be this Saturday.

 

So, dress up and watch the cultural event of the year with other die-hard fans and dance the night away after with like-minded Eurovision enthusiasts, to a DJ set from one of Britain’s premier enthusiasts. Buy tickets here.

Long Ashton Community Centre | Long Ashton, BS41 9 9DP

 

It’s not only the city’s biggest venues that are getting into the Eurovision spirit; local communities all over Bristol will be celebrating and Long Ashton is no different. Join Long Ashton Community Centre for the paarrtaaay of the year.

 

Watch the Eurovision Song Contest Final and have a whole evening of fun and laughter in the process. Dress in your glitziest costume, get out those boas and enjoy a welcome drink, a special Eurovision platter and a DJ set. Showcase Cinema Deluxe | Cabot Circus, BS1 3BX

 

This year, for the first time EVER, the competition’s Grand Final will be broadcast live into cinemas all over the UK, allowing Eurovision fanatics to come together to enjoy the camp celebrations in all their glory.

 

From 7 PM, fans will be able to take to their seats with their friends in their local cinema to view a special preview of BBC Three's new show 'I Kissed a Boy' presented by Dannii Minogue before the Grand Final takes place from 8 PM. Buy tickets here.

Finally, one of Gloucester Road’s hidden gems, Sydney & Eden, are hosting a FREE Eurovision Song Contest Final watch-along that should not be missed. Featuring a ten-foot screen and awesome cocktails from 7 PM, join the team for a laugh, sing and drink along like no other!

 

This is a free event that is being filmed live for BBC News Channel and potentially the official Eurovision broadcast, so be sure to arrive early to grab a spot, this is going to be a fun night!
