Arts charity Bricks to host open doors at St Anne's House

Posted on: 01 May 2023

Bricks, a creative & social enterprise charity based at St Anne’s House are throwing opening their doors next month to celebrate their second birthday.

Bricks is a social arts charity based out of St Anne’s House – a community building home to everything from artists, to makers, to music labels & theatre producers. Dedicated to working with local, creative & social enterprise communities, Bricks utilises artistic perspectives & methods to produce opportunities for public art, support artists in their development and champion local community voices.

Now, in the tradition of all of Bristol’s great art spaces, Bricks are celebrating their second birthday by throwing open the doors of St Anne’s house to the curious public, on the weekend of the 4th June.

St. Anne’s house, in part thanks to Bricks, has become home to a wide, varied community of creatives, businesses, and community initiatives – that visitors will be able to visit and speak to as they wander the building at their leisure.

Visitors to the free event will also be able to attend creative workshops and taster sessions, share ideas, view artwork & exhibitions and sample local food and drink.

The team at St Anne’s House are promising a special evening event to kick the festivities off on Friday, with more information to be unveiled soon, so watch this space.

The event is for all ages and completely free to attend – and visitors are encouraged to drop in and out at any time throughout the event.

Bricks are also looking for volunteers for the event – anyone interested in getting involved can email georgia@bricksbristol.org for more information.

St.Anne’s Open House is taking place from June 4 to June 6, from 18:00-22:00 on the Friday, and 11:00-17:00 on the Saturday & Sunday.
