Stereophonics’ Kelly Jones set to support Paul Weller with new project

Kelly Jones’ Far From Saints will support Weller at a massive outdoor show at Westonbirt Arboretum as part of Forestry England’s summer concert series, Forest Live.

 

Paul Weller will perform at Westonbirt Arboretum, near Tetbury, Gloucestershire on Thursday 8 June 2023.

 

Forest Live is an outdoor live music series that will introduce the UK’s forests to new audiences with events scheduled in unique woodlands with the likes of Jack Savoretti, Tom Grennan and Paul Weller all scheduled to perform special shows in Gloucestershire.

Supporting the Modfather for his upcoming show at Westonbirt Arboretum is Far From Saints; a new band with Kelly Jones of Stereophonics along with Patty Lynn and Dwight Baker of US band The Wind And The Wave. 

 

The group have recently released the single 'Let's Turn This Back Around’ which encapsulates the irresistible magnetism that comes when two evocative voices are drawn together. Far From Saints will release their eponymous debut album this summer. Seb Lowe, an upcoming singer-songwriter from Oldham is also confirmed as the opening act.

 

Commenting on the support announcement, Paul Weller has said: “Really looking forward to seeing my mate Kelly’s new project live at the forest shows. Can’t wait!”

 

Paul Weller has spent 50 years at the top of UK rock and roll. He has gone from providing the soundtrack for a generation with The Jam to soulful reinvention with The Style Council, to being a formidable solo artist, Weller is a chart-topping veteran.

 

The constantly adapting 64-year-old has united generations with his distinctive fashion and ever-changing music, becoming a true British icon in the process. Weller is a fixture at Forest Live, making a record 25 appearances since his debut in 2004 and selling out every one of them.
