The Bristol Brick Show is back once again next weekend

Posted on: 11 Nov 2022

A plethora of remarkable models and displays made of nothing but LEGO bricks will be showcased at North Bristol’s Gloucestershire County Cricket Club next weekend.

Back in the city for the first time since the pandemic, The Bristol Brick Show will take place on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November.

The weekend of LEGO-oriented leisure is the perfect family day out as it makes its return after two years away with over 70 displays built by adult fans (known as AFOLs) from all over the country.

Tickets for the show at Gloucestershire County Cricket Clubcan be found on the event’s website.

LEGO fanatics young and old will be able to explore a huge range of creations, including enormous collaborative build Pirate Cove, a stunning Star Wars recreation, spooky zombie builds, operational LEGO train layouts and a whole load more.

Attendees will also have plenty of opportunities to get hands-on with a wide variety of play bricks, tombolas and LEGO robot wars to get involved with and meet fellow enthusiasts in the process.

Bristol Brick Show debuted in 2018 with the first two events taking place in Whitchurch. Now - after two years - 2022 sees the return of this much-loved event, this time at a far grander venue, the home of Gloucestershire Cricket.

This year’s show will be raising funds for two charities, Children’s Hospice South West and Fairy Bricks. The former provides care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families; the latter donates LEGO sets to children’s hospitals, brightening the lives of thousands of sick children in the process.

The Bristol Brick Show is organised by GertLUG, a Bristol-based LEGO user group who attend monthly meetups and organise events around the city. Find out more about the group here.

The Bristol Brick Show 2022 runs from 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturday 19 and 10:00 to 16:00 on Sunday 20 November. With over 1,000 tickets sold, this year’s event is proving immensely popular.

Tickets are £8 for adults, £4 for children and £20 for a family (2 adults and 2 children). Purchase yours here
