Keynsham Rugby Club Gin and Cider Festival 2022 is set to take place next week

Posted on: 30 Aug 2022

Keynsham’s annual drink and music festival will return next weekend with a plethora of guest ciders and gins as well as musical acts for attendees to enjoy.

The event is set to place on Saturday 10 September between 15:00 and 23:30, tickets are priced at £10 (free for under 18s) and can be found here.

KRFC Gin and Cider Festival 2022 will feature over 20 guest ciders, all served from a purpose built outside cider bar. In addition, there will be a hand-picked selection of guest gin for those who prefer a dose of ‘mother’s ruin’ - these will be available in pre-set cocktails or paired with your choice of tonic / mixer.

Away from the beverages on offer, three musical acts will take to the stage from 17:30 onwards. Lewis Leighton will kick off the music with his acoustic takes on classics from across the ages.

Next up is wonderful M&A Acoustic Duo; adept at getting a crowd moving, they'll be performing between 19:30 and 21:00. Finally, it will be time for headliners The 7-8-9's. The Bristol-based band fill the dancefloor with a vibrant selection of classic covers.

There will also be plenty for hungry festival goers to get stuck into. Coffee Cottage Catering serve a variety of festival favourite dishes, from Pork Rolls and Burgers to Doughnuts and Candy Floss. Glastonbury Festival's Hidden Pizza Ltd are also going to be serving up some of their authentic Italian woodfired pizzas and, of course, no festival would be complete without an ice-cream van.

Parents can keep their kids entertained whilst enjoying a cider thanks to a 70-foot Bouncy Castle Assault Course. In addition to a free to use assault course, the hugely popular Dreams & Things from 2019's festival make their return. Dreams & Things are experts in everything glitz and glam and will get the kids (and adults) looking their glamourous best.

In partnership with Lockerstash, the festival will be supporting sustainability in rugby by offering a "Stash Swap" stand where visitors can swap old sports kits for tokens redeemable at the festival. Lockerstash will also be selling pre-loved stash throughout the day at bargain prices.

Before the festival’s official opening, KRFC 1XV will host Newent in their first home league game of the season in what promises to be a cracking game of rugby.

The festival will take place on Saturday 10 September and kick off at 15:00, tickets are £10 (free for under 18s) and can be found here.
