Avon Wildlife Trust is running a family-friendly day in nature next week in a series of reserves located near Weston Super Mare.

On Wednesday 17 August from 11:00 until 14:30, the trust has arranged various wildlife based activities geared to teach participants more about nature and explore local natural spaces.

More information can be found Via AWT's website. You can book your place at this session using the same link.

Founded in 1980, AWT was Britain's first urban wildlife trust, focused on the people and wildlife habitats of Bristol, Bath, and other built-up areas across the region.

Part of a large network of environmental organisations, AWT is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK to support nature through a community-based approach to conservation.

The organisation aims to improve the health of degraded ecosystems by giving more space to nature and empowering people to take action on behalf of nature by inspiring and resourcing them.

Next week at Walborough reserve, Uphill reserve and Bleadon Levels - a series of connected nature reserves near Weston Super Mare - AWT are running an array of wildlife based activities to educate particpants and help them explore nature local to them.

Attendees able to get up close and personal with the flora and fauna of the area with activites including birdwatching, bug hunting and nature themed crafts.

More information about this event and how to book yourself a spot on this family-friendly adventure can be found via AWT's website.
