It's been a long time coming, but one of the greatest musical acts of all time are finally on their way to the Westcountry.

The time has finally come for the one and only CHIC to perform two eagerly-anticipated Bristol shows, joined by legendary frontman and producer Nile Rodgers on Wednesday 13 & Thursday 14 July.

Organised as part of the Bristol Beacon Presents series, the performances were originally scheduled for summer 2020, before being rescheduled twice due to the coronavirus pandemic.

With just a few days to go until CHIC & Nile Rodgers take the stage, a limited number of tickets remain available for both dates - find out more and get yours here.

Having performed unforgettable sets at some of the world's top venues and festivals during a career spanning more than four decades, CHIC & Nile Rodgers are rightly regarded as one of the all-time great musical acts.

Since forming in the early 70s, the group have released a steady stream of timeless hits, from 'Everybody Dance' to 'Le Freak', 'Good Times' and many, many more.

If you're ever in search of the artist behind one of your favourite disco tracks, there's a very good chance it was written by Nile Rodgers and co.

Rodgers, himself a living legend in the music world having won three Grammy Awards and been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, is the driving force behind the band as a guitarist, singer-songwriter, composer, producer and ethereal live performer.

Following two unmissable performances at the picturesque Lloyds Amphitheatre, revered indie-pop outfit Belle & Sebastian will take the stage for their biggest-ever Bristol show on Friday 15 July, supported by Northern Irish art-rockers Django Django.

The three open-air shows are taking place as part of Bristol Beacon Presents, an ongoing series bringing unique live shows to venues across the city as the Beacon's extensive refurbishment works continue.
