Catch a range of homegrown talent and acts from further afield in some of Bristol's best-loved live venues.

Organisers of Dot to Dot, an annual intercity music festival held in Bristol and Nottingham, have announced the first wave of acts to join the bill for the 2022 edition.

Squid, Baby Queen and Ghetts head an exciting lineup - with a deluge of talent announced in tow and more yet to be revealed - all set to descend upon a selection of the city's most iconic venues on Saturday 28 May.

You'll no doubt be spoilt for choice here, and tickets are expected to sell fast. Why delay? Head to the Dot to Dot website to find out more and secure your spot at this year's festival.

First held in Nottingham in 2005, Dot to Dot has grown in stature and ambition in the years since, building a reputation as a diverse and friendly festival that champions local talent in its host cities.

This year, Bristol-based five-piece Squid head the bill having appeared further down the line-up in previous editions, and with more names yet to be unveiled, there will certainly be more local talent taking to the stage.

Bristol-based grunge outfit Wych Elm performed at Dot To Dot 2021 alongside city counterparts Emily Isherwood, HAAL and Belishas, so keep an eye out for more line-up announcements in the coming weeks.

As always, an array of Bristol venues will be taking part in Dot To Dot. Last time out, venues such as Bristol Beacon, Mr Wolfs, The Louisiana, Thekla, The Fleece and Rough Trade Bristol, among others, all opened their doors for special live performances.

Elsewhere, grime MC Ghetts and Brighton-based rap and production duo Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn sit at the top of the bill, with Alfie Templeman and Baby Queen rounding out the headline slots.

A performance from dream pop stalwart Jane Weaver is also confirmed, likewise fun-loving band KEG, shoegaze five-piece Bdrmm, Irish noise rock outfit Just Mustard, pop and old school dance collaboration Piri and Tommy, and experimental dance trio Mandy, Indiana, among many others.

Director of Live at festival organiser DHP Family, Anton Lockwood, said in a statement: “We’re extremely pleased to be announcing Dot To Dot Festival 2022, with one of our most diverse line-ups to date.

"I have always said that Dot To Dot is all about seeing your favourite band as headliner and your new favourite band earlier in the day. That certainly looks set to ring true this year, and I’m looking forward to catching some of the earlier slots by artists that will no doubt be headlining in years to come.”

Again, tickets for this event are likely to sell out fast, so don't hesitate. Head over to Dot to Dot's website to find more information and to purchase tickets.
